My primary goal in starting this blog is to give all my kindred spirits, those patriotic Americans who love the values and principles which our great nation was founded (those on the fence are welcome to jump over-to the right of course), who have gone from the hope of seeing our great country stay the red course to the overnight misfortune of feelin’ the blues, shake the feeling of helplessness, disappointment, sadness, and just outright, “what the heck is wrong with the people who voted yes ”, you know what I mean.  Yes, we are mad, but now, it’s revenge, payback- and then some!  Okay, I am still working on some residual anger. 

Now that we’ve had a healthy amount of time to vent, complain, and vent some more and complain again, then listen to our friends have their turn, it boils down to this:  What does it accomplish (okay, we feel better)?  However, what are we going to do differently to ensure the principles and values that so many heroic Americans fought for at the cost of sacrificing their lives and families to preserve and entrust to us the sacred gifts of freedom and democracy are passed on to the future generation of Americans?  In light of that, can we go on with life as usual, business as always, and more of the same in politics.  If one thing I learned from this past election is that I don’t have the liberty to sit and watch the unfolding of my beliefs and expect that someone else will make the sacrifices to fight and defend for me; voting absent and bench warming is now officially outlawed.   

Moving forward, we are faced with an unprecedented attack on traditional values, basic moral principles, and our constitutional rights to the pursuit of happiness on the precipice.  This post-partum election blues should be our pivotal pause and our turning point to bear arms with our convictions and beliefs and shout from the rooftops with our freedom of expression what we believe.  What does it mean to be an American?  How do we change the political landscape and the status quo that is broken?  Who is courageous enough to fight, to lead by example, and have the moral character, fortitude and values that will usher in a new era of conservatism for our time?  We need a renewal of our sense of purpose, a higher calling in place of complacency, and a mission to transform our national conscience  with God’s grace will not be an impossible accomplishment; it will all be challenging and yet, most rewarding. 

In the final analysis, the country needs you-us, America’s finest, the noble men and women of this generation , now more than ever the mission of spreading our country’s greatest wealth, love of God and Country with our enthusiasm for the principles and values that has made America what we are!  The American Dream is our reality and we have the honor of preserving it and handing it off to the next generation; let us not be the gap in history, but the antidote toward curing the national blues.
